Are ratings out of five or out of ten?

Always out of five. Every star display, average and tier calculation uses a maximum of five stars, with fractional fills for values such as 4.3.

Why is the displayed score different from the plain average?

Scores are weighted against the site average using a Bayesian adjustment, so a perfume with four glowing ratings does not outrank one with four thousand. A confidence label sits beside the score.

How is dupe similarity calculated?

Accepted Answer

Notes contribute 35 percent, accords 30 percent, olfactory family 15 percent, performance 10 percent, concentration 5 percent and usage 5 percent. Community votes are blended in once a relationship passes the vote threshold.

Can I rate the same fragrance twice?

Accepted Answer

No. One active rating and one main review per fragrance per account. Edits are kept as versions, and duplicate accounts are detected and removed.

What are trust levels?

Accounts progress from New to Basic, Member, Regular and Trusted based on verified activity and moderation history. Higher trust unlocks voting weight, faster publishing and fewer rate limits.

Why do I see three prices?

The first row is the price in the original market currency, the second converts to your chosen currency, and the third is a euro reference so comparisons are consistent. Each carries a freshness indicator.

How do I get a missing perfume added?

Use Suggest a Perfume. Submissions move through Submitted, Pending Review and either Changes Requested, Approved or Rejected. Nothing is published automatically.

What happens when I report content?

A moderator reviews it. Automated flags never cause a permanent sanction on their own, and you are notified of the outcome.

Do you handle reformulations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A fragrance can carry versions such as Original, Reformulation, Vintage, Limited Edition or regional variants, each with their own notes and performance where they differ.

Yes. Request an export or deletion from your account settings or the contact form; we respond within 30 days.
